Everton target deadline day move for Michy Batshuayi
Everton are said to be planning a Deadline Day move to sign Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea.
Ronald Koeman has had a busy summer recruiting at Goodison Park, having spent close to £130million.
But the Everton boss is still in the market to bring in another forward to fill the void left by Romelu Lukaku.
Wayne Rooney returned to Everton in the summer and, despite being deployed in a central midfield role at Manchester United, has been utilised as the main striker at Everton so far.
Sandro Ramirez has also played up front in the league but Koeman is understood to still be interested in adding another out-and-out forward to his squad.
And according to French outlet Foot Mercato he could turn his attentions to Batshuayi.
The 23-year-old joined Chelsea last summer from Marseille but struggled to break into Antonio Conte’s side as they went on to win the Premier League.
Everton have also been linked with Batshuayi’s Chelsea team-mate Diego Costa on a short-term loan deal before he hopes to make a permanent switch to Atletico Madrid.
